Death the Kid
Soul Eater Death the Kid (c) Atsushi Okubo Author's Rant: I got sick of studying too much so I inked and coloured this drawing to relieve some stress. I drew and scanned Kid before I went back to school, I think... I have a lot of drawings in my computer that I haven't started inking yet. Ha ha ha~ I was working on this yesterday while watching my bro do some art on his computer. He finished his all in one day, I'm so jealous~ The pose came from the manga. It was good eye-hand coordination practice for me, so it's all good. Most of the textures done were made by pencil. The background and colouring were made using Photoshop CS2. I experimented on the colouring and tried not to blur as much. Now that I think about it, this is one of the few art that shows the whole body. Gasp! However, I need to still practice on motion. I tried making Kid look like he's flying out of the page by experimenting effects with the background. At least I'm trying, right? And don't get me started with the motion of the leg... One last thing before I continue studying for my BioChemistry classes again, the title came from the new Soul Eater Opening Song: Papermoon by Tommy Heavenly6. After hearing it for the first time, it was stuck in my head for weeks! |
